Beggars, Venice, 1500s   ∞

The NYPL digital collections link (since ∞ is a bit ambiguous)
From the book, Costumes anciens et modernes : habiti antichi e moderni di tutto il mondo. (Paris : Firmin Didot, 1859-1860) Vecellio, Cesare (ca. 1521-1601), Author.
The author, Vecellio, has is own fansite.

Cesare Vecellio, a relative of the famous Venetian painter Titian, was an author, painter and achieved wood engraver. He was born in Pieve di Cadore, in the mountainous Belluno region north of Venice, between 1521 and 1531, and died in Venice in 1601. Although he never gained the prominence that Titian did as a painter, he did become well-known for his authorship of two early-printed works related to costume: De gli habiti antichi et moderni di diverse parti del mondo in 1590 and its augmented edition Habiti antichi et moderni di tutto il Mondo in 1598, and a collection of lace pattern illustrations, Corona delle nobili et virtuose donne in 1591.

I was looking for some sort of information on this particular print, but can’t seem to find anything with simple googlefu.

"You one of those right wing nut outfits?" inquired the diplomatic Metzger.
Fallopian twinkled. "They accuse us of being paranoids."
"They?" inquired Metzger, twinkling also.
"Us?" asked Oedipa.
